Pak Vs WI 2nd T20: Ahmed Shehzad gets nasty injury

Pakistan’s Ahmed Shehzad suffered a neck injury during their second T20 against West Indies in a four-match series in Port of Spain on Thursday. He showed signs of concussion and was taken off the feld in a stretcher.

The incident happened on the last ball of the fourth over being bowled by Sohail Tanvir. Shehzad, while trying to stop a single by Marlon Samuels, collided with the other West Indies batsman at the crease – Chadwick Walton. Shehzad’s neck hit Walton’s pads and he fell to the ground. He was carried off in an ambulance off the field.


Ahmed suffered an injury fielding whilst colliding with batsman; initially showed concussion signs and pain within the neck.
Has been removed from play and sent to nearby St Clair Medical Center for further investigations.
